Taco Charcuterie Board

Root for the home team with gameday at home! Make sure you don’t miss a second of the game by bringing the food to your table with a Taco Charcuterie Board, a fun twist on the grazing board trend. To ensure you make it home before kick-off, take advantage of one-stop shopping at Smart & Final.

Thank you, Smart & Final, for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Preparing for an At-Home Gameday

Has this ever happened to you?

You get up to refill the snacks and you miss the game-winning play?

Or worse yet,

Your hunger led to limited attention (and we all know your team doesn’t win if you’re not 100% dedicated).

The best way to prepare for an at-home gameday is to make sure all of your snacks are prepped and available before the big day! Since I know I jinx things any time I get up for refills, I’m all about bringing the food and drinks to the guests so none of us miss one second of the action!

I start out my preparations for game day with one stop shopping at my local Smart & Final. One trip and that’s it.

From fresh produce to prepared taco toppings, Smart & Final has everything I need for Game Day. I even scored super cute football plates and napkins!

Taco Charcuterie Board

Characuterie boards are all the rage right now. They take grazing and snacking to a whole new level, but placing all of your favorite foods onto one board.

For a fun game-day swap, I made my family a Taco Charcuterie Board. I’m lovingly call it a Taco-cuterie and I’m taco-ing about delicious!

The benefit of bringing the taco bar out of the kitchen and into your game-day space is that you never have to leave! No missed touchdowns! No instant replays…just instant refills!

What You’ll Need for a Game Day Taco Board

  • Taco Shells & Tortillas
  • Meat (opt for an easy to prepare option like pre-cooked chicken)
  • Beans
  • Fajita Veggies (bell peppers & onions are an easy mix)
  • Lettuce
  • Salsa
  • Cheese
  • Guacamole
  • Sour Cream
  • Assorted additional toppings (we’re big fans of limes and radishes)

Not included but super fun for your Taco Charcuterie Board: a board and small bowls. Assembling your board is easy! Fill small bowls with things like guacamole and sour cream. I like to place those first, then the taco shells, and fill in with all of the fixings!

Make a Vegetarian Taco Board or Bar

Whether you’re setting up a taco bar or a charcuterie board, you can tailor it to your preferences.

My family is made up of half vegetarians, so we opt for a veggie-filled feast. You’ll find that it’s easy to make delicious tacos, even without meat.

Tip: Cut down on prep time by mixing home-cooked menu items and store-bought ones from Smart & Final.

For a vegetarian option for tacos, try potatoes!

You’ll need:

  • Russet potatoes
  • Taco seasonings
  • Oil

Chop potatoes for fast cooking. Boil them for 15-20 minutes to soften. Then skillet fry your potatoes with a package of taco seasoning until crispy. Make sure to flip to ensure they’re crispy on both sides. Super simple and so yummy!
