Three days left! 19 hours to be exact. Summer is on the horizon, and, as you can tell, I’m counting down. With summer comes liberal bedtimes, hours of water play, and fun with our neighbors. It sounds like the recipe to awesome childhood memories, if you ask me.
But what if you ask my kids? I wanted to fill these summer weeks with the fun they’re hoping to have also. They love planning their own activities, and feeling involved in the social calendar. To gauge what they were hoping to do this summer, I whipped up a Summer Bucket List printable.
My oldest included finishing her latest Harry Potter book and sleepovers on her list, while my middle child listed each type of craft she wants to complete.
I kind of feel like I’ve cheated a little because I started crossing things off my list weeks ago. I was lucky enough to attend the world premiere of Frozen Live at the Hyperion at Disney’s California Adventure. The theatrical retelling of the cinematic blockbuster Frozen honors the original story, while bringing another level of emotion made possible with live theatre. You can read my full review over at SimplyBeingMommy.
Anna & Elsa’s relationship is tumultuous and the tension is high. But Olaf, the summer-loving snowman, is there to bring some comic relief and remind us that some people are worth melting for.
Olaf is the king of summer…and sun and all things hot. So it should come as no surprise that he inspired my bucket list. You’ll definitely want to add seeing Frozen Live at the Hyperion to your bucket list. And speaking of that list, you can print your own right here.
We’ve got a summer to fill with fun. Tell me, what’s on your summer bucket list?

We are a few days in and have been busy having so much fun that we haven’t done our bucket list yet! But this will be my first “I’m bored” activity!
Let me know what you add to yours! I’m always looking for suggestions.
