LG InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Refrigerator with Craft Ice™

Can I refrigerator help me cut back on food waste? I think so! Check out the space and food saving options of the LG InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Refrigerator with Craft Ice™.

This is a sponsored post with Best Buy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Growing kids have big appetites. I want to fill my children’s tummies with healthy options so we’re fostering positive relationships with fresh food by taking them to local organic farms, engaging participation in cooking, and making mealtime fun.

Keeping up with their bottomless pit-bellies can be tricky. I try to buy in bulk to save money, but that often leads to waste.

And waste doesn’t support my wallet or my goals for my green-ish family.

Cutting down on wasting food for my family means being more diligent about meal planning. It means leftover nights with what I call a buffet-style presentation (you can also call that super random collection of whatever was in the fridge). But cutting down on waste can also come from having the best tools at our disposal.

That’s why I’m sharing my findings about the LG InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Refrigerator with Craft Ice™ from Best Buy.

There’s some seriously neat technology included! Here are some of the specifics!

LG Instaview Door-in-Door Refrigerator with Craft Ice Features

InstaView™ Door-in-Door®: Keep things cool without having to open up the whole fridge. Instead, you can grab things like beverages or snacks quickly. Keep the cool items cool.

I wonder if this will also cut down on my kids opening both the fridge and freezer doors, staring for minutes at a time in hopes that ice cream will replace the abundance of veggies.

How does the LG InstaView Door-in-Door keep food cooler?

  • Linear Cooling keeps temperatures within 1°F of the setting consistently
  • Digital sensors and varied vents mean total cooling control thanks to the Smart Cooling system
  • Door Cooling + pushes cool air throughout so all areas are cool

Currently, I put the items like milk that I want to stay really cool in the back of the fridge. But with this refrigerator, the whole thing stays cool so I can arrange my food for the best access and space saving.

Am I the only one who’s been daydreaming about the knock feature to reveal what’s in your fridge? Tell, me I’m not along on my sheer giddiness at this option!

Customizable Organizations: Half of my trouble is not knowing what’s hidden in the depths. The drawer divider makes it easier to organize your frozen foods.

The customization doesn’t stop there. The fridge includes 4 split shelves, 3 fixed shelves, and cantilevered shelves (move in and out so you can store big, bulky items).

Door Alarm: Be alerted when the doors are left open.

Fresh Innovations: In my attempts to cut down on waste, I had to sacrifice convenience of buying in bulk. But this fridge keeps produce fresh up to 2X longer. The cooling technology extends the life of our favorite fruits and veggies to keep it all fresh and ready for me to enjoy (and my children to grumble over).

In addition to helping my goals of cutting back on food waste and preserving the chill in my fridge, there are a few additional features worth a shout-out.

We’ve cut out single-use water bottles in place for filtered water at home. The fridge features clean, fresh-tasting water from the dispenser. The water filter is easy to replace with one touch. And because I know I drink more water when it’s cold, there’s a Dual Ice Maker and Slim SpacePlus ice maker.

And while we are on the subject of ice, you guys. CHECK OUT THIS ICE!

I’m feeling ten times swankier just thinking about the cool ice globes I’ll be sharing with my guests. And Lemonade Stands? They are getting a serious upgrade!

I know that having the right tools like our kitchen appliances can make a huge difference. I’m digging the LG InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator with Craft Ice from Best Buy.
