Roll in and rock out at Downtown Disney’s swanky bowling alley, Splitsville. The coolest lanes in town invite guests to experience luxury alleys and an upscale food and drink menu in a mid-century modern location.
I received complimentary admission to facilitate this review. Please read my Disclosure Policy for more information.
Recently, I was treated to an all-day FLOCK presentation all about Pinterest. It’s a social media platform I just adore, but knew I could do more there to share fun ideas (including my own). It was jam packed full of actionable steps, but also a lot of fun.
Splitsville at Downtown Disney
Since it was held at the Disneyland Resort, the cutest treats were served! Plus, we got to continue the fun afterwards by heading to Downtown Disney’s Splitsville. I’ve been able to enjoy the lanes before but each visit makes me love the new DTD addition even more!
From a great vibe, to delicious dining options, it’s truly a must-do when in Anaheim. Whether you’re staying at the resort for a magical Disneyland Resort vacation or looking for a hip spot to have a night out, Splitsville’s the place.
Strike Up Some Fun
The retro-inspired bowling alley offers some fun for the ages with lanes throughout the two-story Anaheim location. Although the location is massive, you’ll feel like a king pin with semi-private lanes located both down and upstairs.
To bring an element of magic to the experience, you’ll want to snap a selfie or two after each strike. Make sure to grab a Mickey or Minnie-engraved bowling ball for extra pizzazz.
Prices for bowling range from $19-24 per bowler. Allotted time for bowling depends on the size of your party, and ranges from 1 hour to 1 hour, 45 minutes.
No gutters, no glory! If you’re bowling with your family, you may want to consider adding railings so gutter balls don’t discourage young athletes. Ramps are also available to give a little extra push.
Not Your Typical Bowling Alley Food
Whether you’re bowling or aiming a perfect score on your meal, you will be pleasantly surprised at Splitsville. Sushi at a bowling alley?! Yes! In addition to a Spicy Tuna Roll, you may want to dig into a heldheld sandwich, salad, or pizza. Grab a slice or two of the Fig & Prosciutto Pizza with mozzarella and goat cheese, fresh figs, fig jam, maraschino onions, prosciutto, and arugula.
As part of the FLOCK event I was attending, we nabbed an assortment of appetizers to split (although sharing can be rough when you see the offerings). The Macho Nachos with seasoned ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, queso, black bean corn salsa, and pickled jalapenos were topped with avocado ranch and sour cream. They made it feel like a fiesta with each dish that arrived.
Hungry for more? Try chicken tenders, blackened salmon caesar salads, or chicken alfredo.
You’ll never go thirsty at Splitsville, with two bars upstairs crafting unique cocktails and spirits. The Watermelon Smash made with watermelon-infused moonshine muddled with fresh watermelon, lime juice, and simple syrup will cool off any bowler after a hot streak.
In addition to hand-crafted cocktails, there are unique cocktails on tap like the Pink Paloma with Dobel Tequila, pink grapefruit juice, agave syrup, premium grapefruit soda, and lime juice. Grab it in a refillable souvenir squeeze bottle!
Roll In, Rock Out
Splitsville’s Downtown Disney location was once home to the House of Blues Anaheim, now at the GardenWalk. Rock and roll remains on site. Splitsville’s got your eats and entertainment covered, but also the soundtrack for your fun. Live music takes the stage on their large, outdoor patio.
Splitsville brings upscale bowling and dining to the Downtown Disney District. The retro style is all strikes, and the fun is on a roll. I’m almost out of bowling puns, but I know Splitsville is right up your alley!
