Green Smoothie Bowl

My little leprechauns love making smoothies at home, and I love giving them all the nutrients that come along organic & vegan recipes.  This Green Smoothie Bowl is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day breakfast with it’s yummy veggies and organic almondmilk fueling their day.  With just 5 ingredients, the Green Smoothie Bowl featuring So Delicious Organic Almondmilk is an easy way to make them feel lucky and loved.

For years I maintained a vegan diet, but now I tell people I’m vegan except for dessert.  It’s my sweet tooth that does me in.  But I know that it’s that sweet tooth that I really need to control.  So I’m starting out my day as healthy as possible.  When I start out strong, my motivation to make healthy food choices all day is steadfast.

As a mama, I definitely want to make sure I’m setting a good example for my girls. I’m fairly certain my coffee habit is going to be passed on to them.  But I want this Green Smoothie Bowl full of organic, vegan nutrients to be part of my legacy to them as well.  Featuring spinach, cucumber, strawberries, and So Delicious Almondmilk, it’s an easy recipe that we all feel great about.

Normally, my holiday recipes are all about the dessert.  But trying to make these resolutions for the new year last all throughout the year means I need to be a little more creative.  With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, I wanted to go green!  Thanks to my local Walmart, all that I needed to make my Green Smoothie Bowls was easy to find.

Healthy isn’t hard to do, if you know what to look for.

How to Make:

Prepare strawberries, cucumber, banana, and spinach.  To save myself time on busy weekday mornings, I try to prep ingredients for smoothies in advance.  By freezing all of the ingredients together, I can plop them in a blender and be ready in a snap.  So feel free to double recipes to have extras on hand when needed.
Add frozen produce to a blender and add 1 1/2 cups of  So Delicious Organic Almondmilk with Cashew .

The first green smoothie I served my kiddos ended up with them thinking it was an April Fool’s Joke.  But they adore cucumber, which the recipe favors.  It made for an easy transition into new flavors and new nutrients.  Another selling point was the heart-shaped cucumbers slices atop the bowl.

A big selling point for me is knowing that they’re drinking organic, non-GMO, soy-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free So Delicious.  The year has been great so far with returning to nutrition in our family, and So Delicious is taking us back to delicious basics.  The almondmilk has no sweetners, fortifications, colors, or preservatives.  Even the bottle is good stuff!  The packaging is at least 80% plant-based, instead of plastic.

“It’s So Delicious. It’s that simple.”

What do you like to add to your smoothies?
