Punch it, Chewie! Star Wars is a big deal around my house. But with three daughters that might be surprising for some. But my little Jedis love Star Wars like their father before them.
These Star Wars cupcakes are super simple and super adorable.

Watch How to Make Star Wars Cupcakes
For Chewbacca:
1. Place chocolate frosting in a piping bag fitted with an open star tip. Ice the cupcakes with the frosting creating stars. Allow frosting to dry slightly and gently press down any pointed peaks.
2. Press two candy eyeballs onto each dipped cookie.
3. Roll out black fondant and cut into strips (approximately ¾ inch by 2 inches.) Press white nonpareils into fondant. Lift fondant strips using an offset spatula and place at a diagonal over cupcake edge.
4. With remaining black fondant, pinch a small piece and shape into a tiny ball for the nose. Place one nose under the eyes on each cupcake.
For Leia:
1. Ice cupcakes with vanilla frosting, creating a flat surface.
2. Place chocolate frosting in a piping bag fitted with an open star tip. Create a hairline with the chocolate frosting.
3. Press two candy eyeballs onto each dipped cookie and a heart sprinkle, placing each to form Leia’s face.
4. Attach a donut to each side of the cupcakes using toothpicks.

Star Wars Party Ideas
Dress Like a Jedi
Padawans should put on their best. Whether you’re rocking your favorite Star Wars tees from Target or DIY Jedi robes, it’s so much fun to get into the spirit. And who says kids should have all of the fun? Make sure the grown-ups know it’s okay to get into the spirit too.
Paper Plate Porg craft
A plate plate, paint, paper, and a pipe cleaner are all you need to make this Paper Plate Porg. I’m pretty smitten by porgs and these are great for an inexpensive Star Wars themed craft.
DIY Light Sabers
Pool noodles make for great (& safe) light sabers. To give them a more authentic look, use black & silver duct tape to decorate the end of the light saber. Use them for a little Jedi training to burn off energy.
Death Star Pinata
Am I the only one who feels a little bad taking a baseball bat to beloved characters? It’s a little easier knowing “that’s no moon.” Make a Death Star Pinata to defeat the Dark Side and load up on candy. S
Star Wars Party Supplies
I’m a big fan of party DIY’s. But I also have learned the value of combining homemade touches with commercially available products. Because who has time to do it all? Not this mama.
