It’s the merriest time of year for boys and girls. To kick off the festivities, Knott’s Berry Farm invited over 600 children from 15 chapters of the Boys and Girls Club of Orange County to participate in a special tree lighting ceremony in Calico.
As a Knott’s Ambassador, I receive complimentary admission to the park. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Children from around Orange County gathered in Calico Town Square. There were carolers from the Little Chapel Bell Choir leading the crowd in song with holiday musical selections. The merriment continued with a dance performance around the tree. The fun continued with special appearances by members of the PEANUTS Gang. Snoopy also welcomed an extra special guest who arrived by train, none other than Santa Claus himself.
Santa brought a special gift for two young children, a golden glowing ornament that lit the tree during the special kick-off to the Season of Fun.
The crowd gleefully cheered as snow fell upon them at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Knott’s Merry Farm is officially open for the holiday season, now through January 6, 2019. It’s a truly charming time to enjoy the park. My family has several visits planned for the holidays, and I can’t wait to share more merriment with you.

I love the Peanuts gang and for sure I have heard you talk about Knott’s Berry Farm before. Seems like a wonderful destination all on its own. Super initiative with the Boys and Girls Club.
I love when companies support the community, Paula. The boys and girls were so elated, especially when it started “snowing.”
